A recent article in advertising industry magazine Ad Age explores the new advertising and marketing efforts cannabis companies are now taking.
“This is the opportunity to create in real-time with no boundary,” said Zac Cohen, founder of full-service agency Blank Space Media, which caters to the cannabis industry.
With no policy (yet) in place to set forth marketing restrictions on cannabis similar to those that exist for other controlled substances like alcohol, tobacco and pharma, marketers are playing by their own rules in a Wild West type of environment.
A common subject of discussion regarding The.buzz registry is how entrepreneurs involved in this new budding industry are turning to .buzz for their Internet business and marketing endeavors. True our .buzz community continues to grow. Examples of developed cannabis .buzz sites can be seen here.
The article in Ad Age points out that though cannabis has an existing image and associations like Rastafarians and Bob Marley, legal dispensaries in places like Colorado are attracting a new and more sophisticated audience. Recently, a Colorado restaurant partnered with a cannabis dispensary for a dinner event with cannabis enhanced dishes.
With cannabis becoming a more accepted commodity in the US, for both medicinal and recreational purposes, an opportunity for cannabis business owners to connect with the world and one another is available through the new .buzz Top Level Domain.
Recently, .buzz partnered with Green Flower Media – plus additional cannabis community entrepreneurs and marketers – in promoting the new book release by Steve DeAngelo, ‘The Cannabis Manifesto’. In doing so, the first promotional Author BuzzPage: www.cannabismanifesto.buzz. was launched. This campaign was an incredible success, reaching over 40+ million people in over 125 countries with well over 12,000 social media shares.
As these type community marketing efforts become popular, The.buzz Registry will be actively involved working to strengthen the relationship between our registrants, their business and their customers. Create.Buzz!
